Pumpkin Patch Exstravaganza

I really enjoyed the pumpkin patch today. This year both Tia and Sydney got to enjoy it. ( No stroller!) Sydney was so excited about the jump house and the pony rides! Tia loved that she got to bring her BFF Paige and they walked hand- in- hand the entire afternoon. There was a giant pillow that you could jump on and even a slide that was went partially underground! We had a blast and will continue to go until we get the roll of the eyes when it is mentioned! Even then maybe Ron and I will still go!

Heart Walk 2009

This was the first annual Bonds Bunch Heart Walk! We raised $250 and plan on increasing our contributions every year! The rain held off and we completed the 4 mile walk with about 1,000 other supporters. The hardest part was pushing the 100lbs in the stroller up the hill. After the walk was over with and we were getting the girls in the car, Tia said, " My legs hurt." All I could do was laugh!

We will continue to do everything we can to support Ron! We love ya!

Fashionista

Tia is the accessory queen. It is so fun to see her put outfits together and walk the runway! So help Ron and I when she is a teenager!

In Love In Denver

I love my husband! We had a great weekend in Denver together! Of course we missed the girls but knew they were in good hands and Grandma Sandra's and then with Grandma Rhondi! I don't know what we would do without family. We are very greatful to be able to getaway for the weekend and enjoy each other company!

First Day of School

Today was Tia's first day of First Grade at Elk Plain! It is really weird to say that I have a first grader. I remember my first grade teacher, Mrs. Riggio! She was great! I really hope Tia has a fabulous first grade experience like it did! I am really excited for her teacher this year, Mrs. Fangman. I was really impressed this morning and it was only the first day!

She was really excited this morning ready to go in her new dress and Ed Hardy Tennis Shoes! There were no tears from her or I this year, unlike last year where we were the only two that cried. When Ron and I asked her about her day, all she talked about was lunch and recess! I wonder if that is what every conversation on the first day of the school-year will be like for the next eleven years.

Embarassing but Innocent

Thursday night I was in my pajama tank top and I had my arm above my head. Sydney moved her hand like she was going to tickle me so I quickly put my arm down. Sydney said," What is that, can I see." I replied, "It's my arm pit", as I raised my arm up. She looks at me innocently and says, " Can I pet it!" How embarassing! Needless to say, I shaved the next day and we all had a good laugh!

Milestones

It has been three whole days since Sydney has used a pull-up! This is very exciting in the Bonds household! No more diapers, ever! She is doing so great and it is hard to believe that she is growing up so quickly. Every morning she chooses from Tinkerbell, Elmo or Dora panties! It depends what mood she is in but usually Tinkerbell wins!
The toothfairy will be visiting the Bonds household tonight. Tia lost another tooth! It was one of her "eye" teeth! I think she only has one left to loose! Speaking of the tooth fairy, I gotta go before I forget!

Victoria Secret Model

Tia had spent the day with her friend Sierra. Sierra's Mom dropped her off afterwards and came in to chat for a few minutes. Tia & Sierra immediately went upstairs to play dress up while her Mom and I talked. Tia came downstairs to do a fashion show for us. She had on one of my Victoria Secret nightgowns ( the kind you don't wear in front of the kids) with her Superwoman belt on! Tia continued to prance around the room with her hands on her hip announcing," I am wearing one of my Mommy's Nightgowns." I was mortified!
Here's the kicker: Ron passed Tia on the stairs as she coming down to do the fashion show! I am sure Sierra's Mom will never let Sierra come over to the house unsupervised!

T-W-O. . . . enough said

This is what happens when a two year old tries to paint her own fingernails and toenails. I would not recommend trying this at home.
Let me just tell you how this happened, so hold your phone calls to CPS. I painted Sydney's toe nails this morning and I told her to sit on the couch while they dried. Instead of listening Sydney curled her toes and walked on the carpet, yes while they were still wet. So, I then got nail polish remover and took it off. Sydney apparently took matters into her own hands when I was in the shower and painted her fingers and toes.
P.S. I can't get it off Sydney or the carpet.

Jazz Festival 2009

This was our 4th year that we have attended the Jazz Festival! It has come to be a tradition for us. We enjoy great music, good food and even better company. Maree and Rashad got us attending our first festival four years ago. Maree's Mom and Dad have gone fro the past 11 years as well as Dora and Tommy. The youngsters ( youngsters being, Rashand, Ron, Maree and I) have crashed the party enjoying some long over due "adult time". We plan on continuing this tradition for years to come and maybe one day when our kids are older, they will want to bring their spouse and join us in the tradition!
Cheers!

Summer Fun

Staycation! It's the new Vacation. It's not quite the same but for now it will have to do! We have made the best of our summer days by finding fun things around town to do! Earlier in the summer we took the kids to GREAT WOLF LODGE! Sandra, Terry and Traci went too! We had a blast.

We also went to Bellingham where we saw Aunt Liz, Uncle Jeff and cousins Tyler, Abbey & Sophie! We cooled off in a sprinkler park and we also tried to pick berries. I say "tried" because some picked and others ate as they picked!

We have also discovered some great places around town. Jim's U Fish in Graham was a fun afternoon spent horesback riding, petting animals and running around on the farm.

One of our favorite new spots is Jefferson Park. On a hot afternoon we were able to escape under a shady tree and let the girls run around in the sprinklers and at the playground! The girls were so moved with the pleasurable atmosphere, they decided to do a little meditating. ( It goes to show that little sisters will willingly do just about anything to be like their BIG sister!)We will definitely return again this summer and next time pack a picnic!

My idea of a stay-cation is a little time at the spa. You don't have to fly me to a exotic location to enjoy a pedicure I will glady do that anywhere! The color is California Coral! I love it! Thank you Ron!Love you!

Dream Big Tia

Tia completed Kindergarten. Let the journey begin. It has been amazing watching her grow and her mind start to put things together. She loved her first year at Elk Plain. She really flourished. She made lots of friends. I will never forget the first day of kindergarten. Her and I were the only two to cry. By the end of the year she was getting dropped of on the curb and getting out before the car stopped. We are so proud!
When Tia grows up, she wants to be an Animal Doctor and an Artist. Some of her likes this year were Hannah Montana, High School Musical, the guitar, singing, dancing, drawing, riding her bike, skateboarding, bonding with her little sister and putting together very fashionable outfits. Way to go Tia!

Where does time go?

I can hardly believe that I am 29, married to a wonderful man, have two beautiful healthy girls, Tia, 6 and Sydney, 2. Where does the time go? It would be a really long story to start from the beginning of how we got here but I'll try to keep it give you the short version . . .

Here's a story of a lovely lady, who was going to college and working at Outback Steakhouse. She was set up on a blind date and the rest is history.
Here's a story of a man named Ronderrick, who was working at Qwest Communications.
He was set up on a blind date and the rest is history.
Til the one day when this lady met this fella, They went to see Training Day and then to a Japanese Steakhouse.
And they knew that it was just more than a hunch.
That these two would create a beautiful family.
That's the way they became the Bonds Bunch.
The Bonds Bunch, The Bonds Bunch,
That's the way they became the Bonds Bunch!

It's Never to Late to Start!

A journal, a scrapbook, facebook, myspace, a blog? How does anyone ever decide how to capture the little moments, memories and thoughts that are created each and everyday?
I have decided to start a blog to try to capture what is happening with the Bonds Bunch! Pictures and words, or blogging, will just begin to touch the surface of the lives of Ron, Tia, Sydney and myself. I want to create something that my girls can go back and read when they are older. I feel that with such a crazy and busy lifestyle we have, I need to reflect on the not so chaotic and special times we share with one another. Ready or not, here I go. . . . .
